Today it is February 25th, and it is a snowy day in Surrey. It is our last day with Melody.
We think Melody had a good time with us, but she may have found our class difficult to understand. You see, we’re a French Immersion classroom, which means we speak French almost all day. Aurevoir Melody, bon voyage!
I wish I had learned French when I was young. It is such a beautiful language.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this picture of your class and Melody in the snow. I'm sure Melody enjoyed her visit to your school! What did you learn from having Melody visit you? Did anything surprise you?
Dear,Dianna I think this is a Very good blog and i love who ever made this blog and my ether fav is my big fat greek classroom made by mrs hampsons and her 4th grade and i am in 4th grade to and I told my teacher about this and she loves it. ReplyDeleteThank you Kate! I do know Ms. Hampson. She and I are the ones who created this blog for the Melody Around The World project that was started with our 4th grade class. Fourth graders are amazing! I am very happy that your teacher likes the project and hopefully, she will sign up to participate, so Melody can visit your classroom!
DeleteThe Melody Around The World Facebook page is being used by Sharon M. Draper, the author of Out of My Mind, to log her experiences with Melody. She has a Melody that travels with her whenever she travels. We are very thankful that she has been willing to be a part of our project!
I hope you take time to check out the Global Learning Links that are embedded in different blog posts. If you click on "Global Learning Links", you will be taken to the blogs that contain learning links. You can find this under the "Labels" section in the right sidebar.

ReplyDeletedear Dianna,
ReplyDeleteI will have to take a look at the "Global Learning Links" and can you tell mrs Hampsom's 4th grade class they did a very good job .
Also, did you help them with "my big fat greek classroom"?If you did I think that we all could talk and be friends maybe .
Last thing Dianna thankyou for starting a dialog with me ~Kate
Kate,
ReplyDeleteYes, I did help Ms. Hampson and her class with the class blog My Big Fat Greek Classroom. I am glad you like it and will make sure Ms. Hampson and her class know that you think they have done a good job. You could also leave comments on the students' work on the class blog if you like. I think they would love that.
I am pleased to have had an opportunity to have a conversation with you. Do you live in Canada? It looks really cold there in the picture on this post from Martha Currie Elementary.
Dear Kate,
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your sweet comments. Our class reads all your posts everyday. We are so happy to meet you!
Our class has been talking about how to form possessives in English and French. We are very excited to learn about other cultures and languages. Maybe you could write us something in French and we could see if we could translate? (I did study French, however it was a long time ago.)
Dianna and I worked very hard on both the Melody Around The World Blog and My Big Fat Greek Classroom Blog. She knows a lot about creating blogs and has taught my class many things. We love reading your comments- if you want to answer any questions or make comments on our class blog, that would be very cool!
Talk to you soon,
~Ms Hampson
